Get to know the St. Maarten Medical Center!

Dr. Felix Holiday, born in St. Maarten, pursued his medical studies in the Netherlands. He holds a Medical Doctor (M.D) and Master’s Degree in Medical Science from the University of Nijmegen and specialized in General Surgery in Leuven, Belgium. After practicing in Belgium and the Netherlands, he returned to St. Maarten, joining SMMC as a General Surgeon and ER Med. Supervisor, and later becoming Medical Director. Certified in ATLS, Medical Disaster Management, and Laparoscopic Surgery, he then became Acting General Director in 2020. In 2024, Dr. Holiday was appointed CEO of SMMC, guiding strategic development and navigating crises like Hurricane Irma and COVID-19.
